When skin is flaky and dry it is prone to sensitivities when undergoing the waxing procedure. These sensitivities are due to the exfoliation that occurs when removing the wax. If you are experiencing after waxing sensitivities try the following. Always make sure your skin is well moisturized with a moisturizer that is right for your skin type. Hydrate from the inside out by drinking fluids and eating foods that balance and hydrate you. That means as often as possible skip the junk food, caffeinated and soda drinks, and alcohol. Replace junk food with anything that is not in a package, eat foods that have been picked (fruit) or pulled from the ground (vegetables and grains). Hydrated skin will help keep your skin from irritation that can occur from waxing.
